I am thrilled to share with you some of the results from the work I have been doing with leather. I have ventured down two different avenues, and the 96 Collection is the result of one of them.
The pieces from the 96 Collection are perfect for upcoming graduates, birthdays or just plain “thinking of you” gifts. I highly recommend buying one or two for yourself! I tend to wear three at a time, “Be Fearless”, “Faith” and “22”. I can’t help but personalize my pieces and I always find a way to work in a number from my life, hence the “22”.
Each bracelet is made from genuine leather and the hand stamping will be on copper, brass or nickel silver. I plan to roll out a sterling silver version at a later time or by special order. Some of the leather bands will be embossed and will have brass or nickel-plated Sam Browne clasps. The personalized plates are hand sewn onto each bracelet and all pieces are completed in my McKinney studio.
The 96 Collection will include personalized and ready to wear pieces that will be offered through my website and at the local retail locations that carry Simon and Lucy.

I love flipping through these magazines to get ideas on how to get organized and STAY organized. When I find the secret, I’ll let you know;)
I am getting ready for a fundraiser and 2 trunk shows this weekend. It’s getting hairy but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Is this change for the better?
My hubby and I have just finished moving some rooms around:
before: our home office was upstairs, our son’s room was on the main floor and my studio was in the formal dining room
after: our son is upstairs in our old office, my hubby’s office is in the formail dining room and my office and studio have been combined into the bedroom that my son was in.
Both kids are now upstairs and our offices are on the main floor but the biggest pro from this move was I now have a room all to myself that has a door! Granted I always had a studio but since it was in the formal dining room, it didn’t have a door so I never had privacy and sometimes it is nice to be able to leave a bit of a mess on a studio table without worrying about my little one getting into it. Now, I can leave a bit of a mess because I have a door. Woo hoo!!
I still have alot of cleaning up and organizing so once that happens, we’ll see if I fill claustrophobic because I have my day job and small business in the same room or if it’s the best change that I could have made.
Stay tuned …
